The Healthcare Leadership Lab™
Small-group coaching for healthcare leaders carrying responsibility for people, decisions, and change
When others look to you for answers, it can be hard to find a place to say, “Here’s what I’m dealing with. Am I seeing this clearly?”
The Healthcare Leadership Lab™ gives you that place. Leaders from across healthcare bring the situations they are facing now: a conversation they have been putting off, a decision with no easy answer, or a team dynamic they are trying to understand.
Together, we slow the situation down, look at what may be happening, and practice how to respond. You leave with clearer thinking, useful language, and a next step you can put into practice.
What you can bring to the Lab
A conversation you have been avoiding or rehearsing
A decision with competing priorities and no obvious answer
A team member who is not meeting expectations
Tension between clinical, operational, technical, or administrative groups
You do not need to arrive with a polished case or a perfect question. Bring the situation that is taking up the most space in your head. We will start there.
Frequently asked questions
If you do not see your question here, you can reach out directly and ask about your situation.
What is coaching?
Coaching gives you a structured place to examine a situation, test your assumptions, consider your options, and choose how you want to respond. In the Lab, you can learn from being coached directly and from listening as other healthcare leaders work through situations that may resemble your own.
Who can join the Lab?
The Lab is for healthcare leaders who carry responsibility for people, decisions, culture, or performance. Members may work in clinical, operational, technical, or administrative roles. You do not need a particular title, but you should have a current leadership situation you are willing to examine.
What happens during a call?
Calls combine discussion, coaching, and practice. Depending on the session, you may learn a leadership skill, receive coaching on a current situation, help another member think through a challenge, or return to something you tried between calls.
What if I miss a call?
Calls are recorded and placed in a private library for active members. Because members discuss current leadership situations, recordings are confidential and may not be shared outside the Lab.
Is the group confidential?
Yes. Members agree to confidentiality expectations before participating. Everyone is expected to remove identifying details from the situations they discuss and to keep other members’ contributions private. The complete confidentiality and recording terms will be provided before enrollment.
I value privacy. How much will I be expected to share?
You decide what situation to bring and how much context to provide. You can learn by receiving coaching, participating in the discussion, and listening to other members. You will never be required to disclose personal or organizational information that you do not want to share.
How much time does the Lab require?
The live commitment is three hours each month. There is no call during the final week. There is no weekly curriculum to complete, although you will get more from the Lab when you apply what you worked on between sessions.
What is the initial commitment?
Members begin with a three-month commitment. This gives you time to bring a situation, apply the coaching, return with what happened, and build on the work. The complete renewal and cancellation terms will be provided before enrollment.
How the Lab works
We meet on Zoom for three live, 60-minute calls each month. The final week has no call, giving you time to use what you have worked on and notice what happens.
Call one: Learn and practice
We focus on one leadership skill you can use in conversations, decisions, and team interactions. You will have time to connect the skill to situations from your own work.
Call two: Coach current situations
Members bring a situation they are facing now. We slow it down, test assumptions, consider the people and pressures involved, and work through possible responses.
Call three: Return and refine
We return to what happened after you applied the coaching. We look at what worked, what became more complicated, and what you want to do next.
The group stays small so there is room for conversation, coaching, and practice.

Participant Fit
Who the Lab is for
You may lead a clinical team, an operational function, a technical group, or people across several of them.
Your title matters less than the responsibility you carry.
The Lab may be a good fit if:
- Your decisions and conversations affect other people
- You are dealing with leadership situations that do not have easy answers
- You want a confidential place to think out loud and test your first instinct
- You are willing to examine your own response as well as the behavior of others
- You value perspective from leaders outside your immediate role or organization
- You are prepared to try what you work on and return with what happened
Who the Lab is not for
The Lab will not be the right fit if you want someone else to make your decisions, a formula that removes every uncomfortable part of leadership, or a self-paced course without group participation.
The Lab is leadership coaching. It does not replace clinical guidance, legal advice, therapy, or direction from your organization’s human resources team.
Why a cross-functional group matters
Clinical, operational, technical, and administrative leaders often face different details but similar human challenges. They need to communicate expectations, address tension, influence people they do not manage, and make decisions when the information is incomplete.
Someone outside your function may notice an assumption you cannot see from inside your role. Listening to another leader work through a situation may also give you language or perspective you can use in your own.

Why I created the Lab
Healthcare leaders are often promoted because they are clinically strong, technically skilled, and committed to their work. Most leaders are promoted with little to no leadership training / support. Then they are expected to manage conflict, build trust, communicate across hierarchies, and keep people (and themselves) calm under pressure.
Most have had little opportunity to practice that part of leadership in a room where they can be candid.
I created The Healthcare Leadership Lab™ so capable leaders have a place to say, “Here is what is really happening,” without pretending they already have the answer. My role is to ask the questions that help you see the situation more clearly, notice what may be sitting underneath it, and turn that understanding into action.
Founding membership
Membership is $597 per month with an initial three-month commitment.
The planned standard rate for future new members is $697 per month.
The first group’s call schedule and enrollment details will be shared with the waitlist before enrollment opens. You will be able to review the complete terms before deciding whether to join.

Imagine finally…
Commanding Presence
You walk into the room and something's different. People lean in. Not because you're the loudest voice. Because you finally learned how to use yours.

Honest Dialogue
That conversation you've been dreading for weeks? You have it. And instead of blowing up or shutting down, you say exactly what needs to be said. With honesty. With heart. And the person across from you actually hears you.
Radical Trust
Your team stops walking on eggshells. They start showing up. Really showing up. Because you built something they trust. Not with a speech. With how you made them feel every single day.
Unshakable Composure
The day goes sideways. Because it always does. But this time, you don't go with it. You stay. You breathe. You lead. And your team follows because they watched you hold it together when it mattered most.
That's not a dream. That's what happens when you stop trying to do it all alone and finally invest in the one thing nobody taught you: how to lead from the heart without losing yourself.
